...meet Patty, ALCC family member, Webb City, Missouri

Patty, Webb City, Missouri ALCC Family Member
I was asked to help keep the church Facebook page updated while some of our church family serves on a missions trip in Jamaica.  In typical Ronda fashion, I thought I would take this little activity to the max and make a blog to introduce you to some of volunteers who are serving at Abundant Life in the relief effort.  Making a change in lives, and the community.

And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’” Luke 4:4

So it is a good thing we have cobbler!  Just kidding...but we do actually have cobbler.

At Abundant life we feed people and we FEED people, both in body and soul.

Meet Patty.

Patty lives in Webb City and along with her daughter Libby they have been regular attendants of Abundant Life for the last six months or so; they are always ready with a *hug* and some words of encouragement.  I personally can say that their hugs are day makers...I have had my day made several times by one of their hugs.

Patty has been serving selflessly and tirelessly since the Friday, May 26th; the Friday that immediately followed the tornado.  She has been cooking, cleaning, baking, sandwich making, drink fixing, brown bagging, day after day, night after night.  She is one of our Heroes of Joplin, and she orchestrates and manages the food service for all the volunteers that have been funneled through ALCC.  She is nothing short of amazing.

Here is Patty's daughter Libby.  Libby has a beautiful voice and just started with our praise team...we LOVE her!

Libby-licious as we like to call her.
Patty usually arrives around 9:30am and doesn’t usually leave till 9:30pm.  Patty is one of the many amazing volunteers I will feature here.

Thank you Patty…all the tummy’s say THANK YOU!
