...meet Flavio from Mission, Texas

Flavio and (I didn't get her name!! If you know tell me. Grateful for her none the less!)

Flavio is from Mission, Texas and came to ALCC to help with the tornado relief effort.  Flavio got a little teary eyes when he talked to me as he shared that this world gets so caught up in materialism and sets its eyes to easily on the things that are seen instead of the things that are unseen.  He couldn't not come help...so when he heard that his cousin Ceasar was going to make the trip he caught a ride.

Flavio loves serving people.  He is from Mexico and helps to support friends and family across the border by helping them with food.  Here at Abundant Life, Flavio was helping feed people in our Core CafĂ©.  Thank you Ceasar for going out and serving in the community, and thank you Flavio for coming to feed the hungry and feed the help!

Pastor Larry talked this morning about how there has been over 30,000 volunteer hours logged out of ALCC.  Serving the community in this hour of need are volunteers from over 40 states that have funneled through our church.  We are blessed to have a facility that can accomodate so many, and servants hearts within the church to serve those giving of their time.

Lord continue to bless us with a heart after your own; with good attitudes.  Give us over to hospitality, and good CHEER!

Even if you can’t physically come help, you can financially help.  If you are interested in helping feed the hungry and feeding the help click on our “Relief Donations” at the top.
